چکیده
The subcritical water (SubCW) extractions of waste wool to produce keratin were performed at temperatures 150 °C 250 and different reaction times between 5 min 75 min. resulting proteins in the obtained products confirmed with Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). molecular weight protein extracts was determined by using two methods: a polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis presence sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS-PAGE) permeation chromatography. results show, that SubCW, can be isolated from very high yields, much higher than other chemical methods. Maximal yield achieved 180 60 it 90.3%. distributions extracted proteins, which generated 14 kDa 4 kDa, what is comparable

Producing Keratin Hydrolysates from Sheep Wool
Manuscript describes producing keratin hydrolysate from sheep wool through two-stage technology whose principle consists in first having wool processed in an alkaline environment during the first stage, and then effecting hydrolysis in the second stage through the action of proteolytic enzyme. Experiments were planned in accordance with factor schemes of 23 types in which factors under study we...
متن کاملRemoval of Pb(II) from water using keratin colloidal solution obtained from wool.
The aim of this study is to investigate the use of keratin colloidal solution, which was obtained from wool, for the removal of Pb(II) from water. The addition of keratin colloidal solution (15 g L(-1), 0.30 mL) to a Pb(II) solution (1.0 mM, 0.90 mL, pH 5.0) resulted in the formation and precipitation of a Pb-keratin aggregate. Measurement of the Pb(II) and protein concentrations in the superna...
متن کاملKeratin Production by Decomposing Feather Waste Using Some Local Bacillus spp. Isolated from Poultry Soil
Background; Feather waste is generated in large amounts as a by-product of commercial poultry processing. The main component of feather is keratin. The main purpose of this study was to identify Bacillus spp. (the keratinolytic bacteria) that are able to degrade the feather for producing keratin. Methods; Bacillus spp. Were isolated from the waste of poultries located in Miyaneh city. The bact...
متن کاملProduction of Silicon Carbide Liquid Fertilizer by Hydrothermal Carbonization Processes from Silicon Containing Agricultural Waste Biomass
Wastes from agriculture or sewage systems have several properties, such as huge volume, high humidity, and high organic composition. According to past studies, sugarcane extract, peanut shells and rice husks have high silicon content. Chemical conversion of biomass feedstock will enhance usage and provide value to agricultural waste. In this research, we applied hydrothermal carbonization to co...
متن کاملUsing Eggplant Skin as a Source of Fruit Waste Colorant for Dyeing Wool Fibers
Today, natural colorants are emerging globally due to their safety and environmental friendly characteristics. Natural dyes have been employed in dyeing Persian carpet piles for many years. Food and fruit industry wastes are one of the main sources of colorants which can be employed for textile coloration. Eggplant (Solanum melongena), a member of the family Solanaceae, is used in food recipes....
